Fitrah means a person's natural disposition in Arabic.
Our simple vision is that every single youth is born pure, innocent, and deserving of a future to thrive regardless of their race, religion, or gender.
Our
Purpose
Fitrah is a non-profit social enterprise that empowers young adults aging out of the foster care system, court-involved, homeless, or out of school by giving them the power to take charge of this business so they can in turn take charge of their life.
We believe that when system-involved youth are given genuine and increasing responsibilities in a business environment, combined with high expectations and a support system, they can and will break down personal barriers to success, create solid action plans, and become contributing members of our community who live, love and own their futures.
Our Story

Fitrah started in 2018 after our Founder, Nadia Niazi met a 60-year-old homeless woman that faced 19 years on the streets.
Determined to help her, she grew frustrated with the complex system and knew something had to be done to prevent so many vulnerable youth from heading towards the same path.
She saw a solution. Give them work with a support system.
She donated her online eCommerce business for these vulnerable youth to take charge of so they can learn to take charge of their own lives.
Our model: The "work" formula
Fitrah has a simple formula in achieving its mission and that is work. We serve youth between 16-25 who are in or out of the foster system,
court-involved, homeless or out of school. 60% are currently or previously been in the Department of Social Services and/or the court system,
20% experience homelessness.
